About Me

Hey Girl Friend!

I’m S. Anne Marie Archer, a bold, beautiful, and bald Black woman living unapologetically and embracing my best life—but it wasn’t always this way. For years, I was climbing the corporate ladder everything from human resources to global security. My life was structured, predictable, and defined by success metrics, but deep down, I knew I wanted more than boardrooms and spreadsheets.

The Trip That Changed Everything

It all started with one business trip to Accra, Ghana, and Nairobi, Kenya. I’d never been to Africa before, and that trip opened up an entirely new world for me. Experiencing vibrant cultures, meeting incredible people, and rediscovering a sense of freedom and adventure transformed my outlook on life. That trip planted the seed for what would become my lifelong passion for travel. The travel bug bit me, and I’ve never looked back!

From Desk Dreams to Bold Action

You know those moments when you’re staring at a screen, wondering what true freedom feels like? I had plenty of those. And each one brought me closer to realizing I wanted more travel and less grind. Losing my mother and nephew in 2020 was a heartbreaking reminder that life is too short to wait for the "right" time. Those losses gave me the courage to leap—to quit my job, pivot my career, and move abroad to Mexico.

It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. Now, I’m living my dream of traveling the world and inspiring other women to make their dreams a reality.

The Birth of BaldGirlWillTravel

Through BaldGirlWillTravel, I’ve created a platform dedicated to empowering women—especially Black Women over 40—to embrace both travel and style as forms of self-expression and self-care. My goal is to show you that style has no expiration date, and neither does the freedom to explore the world.

I’m not a budget or luxury content creator. My focus is on comfortable, attainable travel and style. Whether it’s practical travel tips, chic yet sensible outfit ideas, or curated travel experiences, everything I share is designed to help you prioritize yourself and live boldly.

Curated Experiences for Black Women Over 40

I create curated experiences specifically for Black women over 40. This is intentional. Black women need safe spaces to be in sisterhood with each other and to feel safe and supported. This is not about exclusion as much as it is about creating a sanctuary for a demographic often overlooked and unwelcomed in other spaces.

I know how empowering solo travel can be, but I also understand how overwhelming it can feel when you’re just starting out. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to help women who dream of traveling solo but aren’t quite ready to take that leap alone. Through small, curated travel experiences, I give women the tools and confidence to explore the world safely, stylishly, and with ease—and to form a sisterhood with other like-minded women while they do it.

Style Meets Exploration

My philosophy is simple: style and travel have no expiration date. Whether at home or halfway across the globe, every woman deserves to feel elegant, confident, and fabulous. I’m all about blending personal style with the transformative power of travel to make every journey—and every day—an opportunity to shine.

On my site, you’ll find tools, guides, and practical tips for traveling light, dressing stylishly, and embracing life unapologetically. Whether it’s indulging in great food, sipping a signature cocktail, or rocking the perfect outfit, I’m here to help you live boldly and beautifully.

Life is Too Short—Take the Trip

Every woman deserves to explore the world and embrace her personal style. It doesn’t matter your age, background, or travel experience. What matters is taking the leap, prioritizing yourself, and making unforgettable memories. Life is short, and the world is waiting for you.

Book the trip. You’ll thank me later.

Cheers,

Anne Marie
